suffering terrible anguish, caused by grief or other horrors of reality? considered mentally unstable and kept safe in a cage of glass? glass, our protection, your tool to end it all?

the slides, screaming person and blood spatters just three elements which, combined with your imagination, create unlimited variations on the story behind the picture.

section 8 is the only release of dutch death metal legend bloodphemy.
as i played in this band and assigned myself the task of making this cover, there were no ideas nor drafts provided which needed to be taken into account. even though the artwork for section 8 was not intended to be a concept, there is a strong relation between the cover artwork and the rest of the package.

while creating bloodphemy's, my fondness of collage-like designs and fascination for the seemingly unlimited possibilities of photo editing saw the light of day. as bloodphemy - section 8 was merely released as a promotional release, it unfortunately has never seen the audience i hoped it would.
